QC Laboratory Analyst

Location:Pasadena, TX

Employment Type:Full-Time | Direct Hire

Company Overview

Our client is an established global manufacturer of polymer-based materials with operations in the Houston area for over 40 years. Their Pasadena facility produces and distributes high-quality polymer products used across a variety of industrial applications. They are seeking anexperienced QC Laboratory Analystto join their team and support quality testing operations within their manufacturing laboratory.

Position Summary

The QC Laboratory Analyst is responsible for performing routine analytical testing on raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications. This position requires prior laboratory experience in aquality control or manufacturing environmentand the ability to perform testing, document results, and maintain laboratory equipment independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performquality control testingon raw materials and finished products
  • Conduct analytical tests including:

  • Moisture
  • Flow Rate
  • Density
  • pH
  • Color
  • CSR / FSR
  • Particle Size Distribution (PSD)
  • Odor
  • Prepare chemical reagents and solutions for laboratory testing
  • Perform and documentinstrument calibration, including pH meters and other analytical equipment
  • Evaluate results againstcustomer and internal specifications
  • Report and documentout-of-specification (OOS)results
  • Accurately record laboratory data in written and digital formats
  • Ensure proper release of incoming raw materials and assist with proper material handling or disposal
  • Maintain aclean, organized, and safe laboratory workspace

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of QC or analytical laboratory experience, preferably in amanufacturing, chemical, or industrial laboratory
  • Experience performing routine analytical testing onraw materials and finished products
  • Experience withinstrument calibration and laboratory documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established laboratory procedures
  • Ability to workindependently in a fast-paced manufacturing lab
  • Ability to work arotating shift schedule

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree inChemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field
  • Experience working inchemical, polymer, plastics, or industrial manufacturing laboratories
