Job Description

The Quality Control Laboratory Intern supports day-to-day QC lab operations and assists with routine analytical testing under supervision. This internship blends hands-on lab readiness activities (GLP/GMP, stocking, cleaning, equipment upkeep) with basic QC testing and documentation (raw materials, in-process, and finished goods). The intern will help compile test data, maintain logs, support equipment calibration/maintenance, and participate in investigations and continuous improvement activities as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain laboratory readiness by adhering to GLP/GMP standards and following procedures within the QMS.

  • Support daily lab operations including inventory management, glassware cleaning/sterilization, and water system qualification checks.

  • Perform routine and non-routine analysis of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods under supervision.

  • Operate, calibrate, and help maintain laboratory equipment; assist with troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.

  • Accurately document test results, maintain logs, and compile data in compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.

  • Assist with investigations, stability testing, and quality reviews, including identifying and reporting abnormal results.

  • Support continuous improvement projects and special assignments related to analytical testing and lab operations.

Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field (or equivalent combination of relevant coursework).

  • Coursework and/or hands-on lab experience using basic laboratory techniques and equipment (academic, internship, or lab setting).

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures and document work accurately.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; comfort learning new systems/tools (e.g., ERP basics).

  • Ability to multi-task, manage time well, and work effectively as part of a team.

The intern pay rate for this position is $22 - $25/hour plus eligibility for paid holidays and medicalbenefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay isdetermined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevanteducation or training. for a preferred location.
