Job Description

Core Responsibilities
  • Manage project construction QA programs.
  • Oversee QA testing and inspection. Coordinate and schedule resources to provide appropriate QA inspection and testing for all construction efforts on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Provide training for to ensure appropriate training quality procedures are in place, through pre-activity meetings and daily on-site reviews.
  • Ensure all quality inspector staff has appropriate training and certification for the types of construction activities they will be overseeing.
  • Verify that all sampling and testing personnel have the appropriate training and certification for the types of materials they will be testing.
  • Maintain a Non-Conformance Report (NCR) log.
  • Maintain utility relocations inspection information.
  • Develop and maintain a list of lab equipment available, latest calibration data, and date of inspection.
  • Schedule Hold Points as audits of on-going construction work for the duration of the project.
  • Coordinate with owner quality verification testing, inspection, and Independent Assurance (IA) requirements.

You'll thrive here if you have
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field plus 6 years of relevant construction inspection experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Associates Degree in a related field plus 6 years of relevant construction inspection experience, would be considered
  • Experience on heavy civil construction projects
  • Understanding of technical requirements for construction systems, materials and equipment (electrical, mechanical, architectural/structural)
  • Strong structural concrete experience in heavy civil construction projects
  • Experience representing contractor and owners� interests as site or trades representative
  • Highly organized with strong analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with project management level personnel
  • Ability to multi-task and work both in a team and independently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Flexible hours required for construction observations and oversight
  • Must be capable of climbing ladders/scaffolding and working at elevated locations, including building roofs, and bridges

    The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state's law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
