Job description

As the IT Quality Assurance Analyst 2, you will perform duties related to the testing of critical software systems, whether purchased through a vendor or developed internally. Consult with stakeholders to gather, define, write, and execute test cases; configure and implement automated testing tools; perform multiple types of testing (e.g., unit, system, integration, regression, negative, etc.); troubleshoot and document complex system issues; develop and maintain quality assurance documentation; and prepare and present reports on key performance indicators. To excel in this role, you must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Responsible for working across the business and technology organizations to drive and execute testing processes that ensure projects and incremental changes deployed to the Company's production environment meet and exceed business and internal audit expectations. Develop and execute test strategies and execute all aspects of test plans, including verification and coordinating automated processes. Participate in the execution of test plans to ensure desired results are achieved. Work with business stakeholders, project managers, applications and infrastructure teams, and vendors to develop, coordinate, execute, and document world class testing processes and standards. Provide consulting services to project teams and the organization as a whole, through training and standards awareness efforts. Evaluate project deliverables to ensure requirements, design, testing, implementation planning, control points, and security considerations are completed, documented, and stored in the assigned repositories. Support post go-live hyper care support operations and drive knowledge transfer to stakeholders who take over operational responsibilities following project completion. Conduct exploratory and usability testing to locate bugs before software is introduced into production. Work on test automation across Information Technology (IT) enterprise applications using test automation tools. Utilize Application Programming Interface (API) testing tools like SoapUI and Postman for micro services testing. Work with customers to diagnose, review, and document incidents. Assist in developing and documenting testing standards. Contribute to the continuous improvement of software testing methodologies and develop standard operating procedures (SOPs). Perform data validation using various reports generated from systems. Present test reports detailing test results, defect tracking, and QA related activities. Enforce stringent quality standards and methodologies to ensure the delivery of high-quality outputs. Collaborate with various subject-matter experts to identify desired outcomes as needed. Participate in activities and research to maintain knowledge of industry developments.
To be considered for this role, you must have at least three years of related IT experience and two years of experience in quality assurance or business analysis, including a background in writing test cases and plans. A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required. Ideally, candidates will have five or more years of IT experience and three or more years in quality assurance or business analysis. Strong preference will be given to those with experience using test automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, or Robot Framework, as well as proficiency in writing user stories and scenarios, and using SQL. Familiarity with Jira or other Service Management software is also highly valued.
