Job description

Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our national intelligence program that delivers engineering, application development, deployment, operations, upgrades and sustainment of products and services to achieve our client's global missions.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop and maintain the program specific Quality Management System (QMS) plans, policies and procedures for assurance and continuous improvements of quality products, services, and deliveries to customers.
  • Design, develop and maintain program specific QMS Quantitative Management (Metrics) plans, policies and procedures for the engineering product development lifecycle and operations & maintenance (O&M), to include Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans (QASP).
  • Be the focal point for independent internal and external audits to coordinate with the project teams, stakeholders, customers, and program leadership.
  • Provide Quality Management System Status briefings, reports, and resolution status to program senior leadership.
  • Work closely with engineering to ensure robust requirements, successful design, development, verification and validation testing, configuration/change control management and resolution of nonconformances during O&M.
  • Ensure products meet quality requirements prior to deployment for operations.
  • Develop and implement test processes, methodologies, and tools.
  • Participate in the program's Configuration Management activities.
  • Identify non-conformances and develop effective corrective actions to address root causes.

**Position is Contingent on Contract Award**
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
  • Active Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with ability to pass a Poly clearance.
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant progressive IT experience with a Bachelor's degree (Master's degree and 6 years of relevant experience or PhD with 3 years relevant experience or a High School diploma and 12 years of relevant work experience in the IT field.
  • Advisor level experience in process management, product testing, configuration management and nonconformance management.
  • Experience implementing Quality Management System requirements on programs.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI with Poly clearance.
  • Lean Six Sigma, ASQ, ISO 9001 or CMMI Training/ Certifications.
  • Automated testing experience.
  • 7 years of software testing experience.
  • 2 years of experience leading technical teams.

SECURITY CLEARANCE:
This Position requires an Active TS/SCI and the ability to obtain a Poly, US Citizenship is required to hold this clearance.

Target Salary Range
$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
