Job Title: QA/ QC Technician

Pay Rate: $19.50 - 20.50/hr.

Shifts:

  • Shift 1: Mondayโ€“Saturday, 12:00 PM โ€“ 9:00 PM
  • Shift 2: Mondayโ€“Saturday, 2:00 PM โ€“ 10:00 PM

The QA/QC Technician performs daily product testing, pre-operational inspections, and in-process monitoring to verify compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements. This individual plays a key role in maintaining product integrity, documenting findings, identifying non-conformities, and supporting corrective actions to uphold our commitment to excellence in manufacturing.


Key Responsibilities
Quality Control & Testing
  • Perform routine quality control testing on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods (visual, microbiological, chemical, and analytical testing).
  • Collect and prepare samples for internal and third-party laboratory testing.
  • Conduct chemical testing and monitor product specifications.
  • Place non-conforming products on hold and immediately notify management.
  • Review product test results to determine release eligibility.

Process Monitoring & Compliance
  • Monitor production processes and equipment to ensure adherence to SOPs and quality standards.
  • Perform and document pre-operational inspections.
  • Identify and report non-conformities; assist in investigations and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory standards, including CDFA, FDA, USDA, FSSC 22000, and ISO 22000.
  • Support internal and external audits.

Documentation & Reporting
  • Accurately document inspection results, test data, and observations in logs and databases.
  • Maintain complete and up-to-date quality records.
  • Ensure all documentation meets regulatory and company standards.

Equipment & Lab Management
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment (pH meters, thermometers, acid testers, etc.) daily or as needed.
  • Maintain laboratory supplies and ensure proper storage and organization.

Training & Continuous Improvement
  • Assist in training production staff on GMPs, food safety practices, hygiene standards, and quality procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all company safety rules and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Ensure personal and team adherence to food safety protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Quality Supervisor.
