Job Description

Under the supervision of the Managed Services Group Administrator, the Quality Assurance Engineer will effectively translate business requirements and use cases into comprehensive test plans, test scripts, and test cases based on an iterative development approach. Provide testing effort estimates and help identify resources for those efforts. Develop comprehensive system test plans based on business requirements. Develop and execute system test scripts, conditions, cases, and jobs. Attend project meetings (requirement, planning and test sessions). Develop and maintain a blueprint of the overall test environment (Unit, System and UAT). Create project work plans, track project time-lines, identify and resolve issues and risks, communicate status to the Agency's key stakeholders. Organize and participate in team project meetings, including project status, planning and test conditions reviews. Assist Project Managers with User Acceptance planning and execution. Help develop and maintain test environments (system and user acceptance). Develop QA processes and procedures using defined best practices. Plan, manage and provide system test status on Application Support and Development Releases. Assist Administrator and Test Lead with resource allocation, project planning, and defect reviews/reporting and help manage change control process. May be asked to participate in the definition and implementation of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and service level standards. Develop and maintain QA policies, procedures and methodology for system test planning, development and execution. Help maintain library of best practices that can be used for new and existing QA personnel. May be asked to assist in evaluating and implementing comprehensive testing tools. Perform other duties as assigned. 
- Effectively translate business requirements and use cases into comprehensive test plans, test scripts, and test cases based on an iterative development approach (30%) 
- Develop and execute system test scripts, conditions, cases, and jobs (25%) 
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with cross functional teams (25%) 
- Ensure relevant process documentation and knowledge transfer completed in 

Qualifications


-Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/Computer Science, or equivalent experience. 
-Five+ years of formal IT Quality Assurance testing experience. 
-ITIL Certification is a plus.
