How Youโ€™ll Be Contributing: Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support product quality, safety, compliance, and regulatory activities across pet food, treats, supplements, hard goods, packaging, and consumer products.
  • Review product specifications, packaging, labels, claims, manuals, artwork, and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate and maintain supplier specifications, ingredient information, certifications, testing reports, declarations, packaging information, and other compliance documentation.
  • Maintain technical files, quality records, certifications, regulatory documentation, and supplier records to support audits, registrations, customer requirements, and compliance programs.
  • Support supplier quality initiatives, including audits, corrective actions, supplier development, and ongoing performance monitoring.
  • Support compliance with FDA requirements, AAFCO guidelines, state feed regulations, packaging requirements, consumer product regulations, and other applicable standards.
  • Assist with material declarations, packaging compliance, restricted substance programs, hazard communication requirements, and product safety documentation.
  • Support regulatory reporting, consumer complaint investigations, corrective actions, product safety assessments, and hazard reporting activities.
  • Manage quality, regulatory, supplier, packaging, and product information within Salesforce, PIM, WMS, and other business systems, ensuring information remains accurate, complete, and accessible.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen information governance, reduce duplication, and improve visibility of critical business data.
  • Support the management of non-conformities, corrective actions, product specifications, supplier documentation, and compliance records.
  • Collaborate on New Product Development projects to ensure quality, regulatory, supplier, packaging, and compliance requirements are addressed throughout the product lifecycle.
What Youโ€™ll Bring:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, or a related discipline.
  • 4โ€“6 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Product Compliance, Supplier Quality, Product Stewardship, or a related field.
  • Experience with supplier audits, corrective actions, compliance documentation, product data management, and quality systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet-based analysis.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Experience with Salesforce, PIM, WMS, ERP, PLM, quality databases, or similar business systems is an asset.
  • Knowledge of U.S. pet food regulations, FDA requirements, AAFCO guidelines, state feed registration and labeling requirements, packaging compliance, and consumer product regulations is a strong asset.
  • Familiarity with FCC, UL, ETL, CSA, CE, RoHS, REACH, TSCA, Proposition 65, battery compliance, and related regulatory programs is an asset.
Compensation:

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000โ€“$80,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Hybrid Work Model:

This position follows a hybrid work model of four (4) days in office and one (1) day remote per week. Additional remote work flexibility may be considered following successful completion of the probationary period, based on business needs, individual performance, and demonstrated effectiveness in the role.
