Manufacturing QA Technician II

Location: Tempe, AZ 85282
Work Location: 1115 West Alameda Drive, Tempe, AZ 85282
Position Type: Part-Time Contract
Duration: 6 months to start
Pay Rate: $29/hour
Shift: 1st Shift – 10-hour shifts
Schedule: Sunday, Friday & Saturday | 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Days Off: Monday–Thursday
Onsite: 100%

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Manufacturing QA Technician II to support quality and food safety operations at a manufacturing facility. This role will conduct quality inspections and laboratory testing, monitor production processes, maintain accurate records, and ensure products meet established quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quality checks on incoming raw materials and finished milk products.
  • Perform inspections of production processes for compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Perform and document laboratory testing and monitor test results.
  • Monitor equipment calibration and maintenance.
  • Identify quality issues and collaborate with production teams on corrective actions.
  • Analyze test-result trends and communicate findings to employees and management.
  • Maintain GMPs, SOPs, HACCP, food safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in internal and external audits.
  • Record and analyze quality data and maintain daily documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain 6-S standards.
  • Follow up on customer complaints and coordinate with production teams.
  • Implement quality control processes and testing to ensure products remain within specification.
  • Perform other assigned quality-related projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year of QA experience.
  • Food production QA experience preferred; microbiology or chemical laboratory experience will also be considered.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Familiarity with quality control procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of HACCP/Food Safety preferred.
