This position is onsite at our Ferndale, WA location.

$20.13-$23.00 per hour

Shift Schedule: Monday-Thursday / 8:30 AM-7 PM


Barlean's is a privately owned nutritional supplements brand based in Ferndale, Washington. We're seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector who takes pride in maintaining high-quality standards, communicates clearly, and enjoys partnering with manufacturing and other teams to ensure our products meet regulatory and company requirements.


You will support the Quality Manager and Quality Team by working closely with manufacturing and other departments to ensure compliance with Quality, GMP, CGMP, GDP, SOP, and SQF requirements. This role is responsible for in-process inspections, sample collection, documentation review, internal audits, and product investigations to ensure manufacturing results meet all required specifications.

Requirements

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable GMPs, CGMPs, GDPs, Barlean's SOPs, and SQF regulations.
  • Perform in- process quality inspections and checks throughout manufacturing operations.
  • Collect and manage samples of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods.
  • Review, maintain, and archive Master Manufacturing Batch Records and related QA documentation for audit readiness.
  • Support and participate in internal audits, including surprise inspections.
  • Maintain QA databases and records.
  • Manage QA holds, rejects, and product returns in accordance with established procedures.
  • Conduct internal investigations for non-conforming products and assist with corrective actions.
  • Support training activities as required, including annual training.
  • Work with customers and internal teams on product specifications as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with cross-functional departments.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and written instructions in English.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull 25 pounds unassisted.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a Quality Assurance role in a related industry preferred.
