Position Summary:
The Quality Assurance Specialist supports the effectiveness of the quality management system by ensuring products, processes, and documentation meet customer, engineering, regulatory, and company requirements. This position works closely with Quality and Manufacturing to support inspections, investigate quality issues, maintain accurate records, and promote compliance and continuous improvement.
What Success Looks Like:
During your first year, you will:
  • Ensure product and process quality - Support visual and dimensional inspections, first articles, product releases, and other quality activities to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Maintain quality documentation - Complete, review, and maintain inspection records, FAI documentation, QC releases, nonconformance records, and other QMS documentation.
  • Support quality investigations - Participate in nonconformance, corrective action, root-cause, and MRB activities to identify issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Strengthen QMS compliance - Support quality procedures, internal audits, document control, calibration, and other activities necessary to maintain an effective and audit-ready quality system.
  • Partner with production - Work with manufacturing teams to resolve quality concerns, improve specification compliance, and reduce defects, NCRs, and scrap.
  • Promote continuous improvement - Identify opportunities to strengthen quality processes and provide training and guidance to employees on quality requirements and procedures.

What We're Looking For:
The ideal candidate will bring:
  • 1-3 years of quality assurance, quality control, or inspection experience in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, documentation practices, and corrective action processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with precision measurement and inspection tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred
  • Experience with AS9100D, ISO 9001, or a similar regulated quality system.
  • Knowledge of GD&T, AS9102 First Article Inspection, MRB, CAPA, or internal audits.
  • Experience with CMMs, vision systems, or other advanced inspection equipment.

Work Environment / Schedule: (as applicable):
Primarily a shop and quality-lab environment involving product inspection, quality documentation, manufacturing support, and computer-based work. This position follows a 4/10 schedule, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
