We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer with strong experience in modern web application testing and automation. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Playwright and hands-on experience testing applications built with React, .NET, and Microsoft PowerApps. Exposure to Python-based automation frameworks, cloud environments, and federal projects—particularly NIH—is highly desirable. The ability to obtain and retain a public trust clearance is required for consideration. This is a hybrid role based in Bethesda, MD.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Playwright.
  • Build scalable, maintainable test scripts for UI, API, and end-to-end testing.
  • Test applications developed with React, .NET, and PowerApps.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub.
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and track issues to resolution using Jira.
  • Support testing efforts in AWS cloud environments.
  • Maintain test documentation and artifacts in SharePoint.
  • Ensure compliance with accessibility standards, including Section 508

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of QA automation experience
  • Strong expertise in Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript preferred)
  • Experience testing React and .NET applications.
  • Hands-on experience with PowerApps testing
  • Proficiency in Python for automation or scripting
  • Experience with GitHub, Jira, AWS, and Entra (Azure AD)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting NIH or other federal projects.
  • API testing experience (Postman, REST clients)
  • Knowledge of performance, security, and accessibility (ADA/Section 508) testing
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Experience with Docker and DevSecOps practices

Compensation:

Salary Range: $120,000 – $130,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
