Job description

Title: Sr. QA Automation Engineer
Location: Hartford,CT - Hybrid - (Onsite 1 day a week)
Duration: 6 Months - Contract
Client is seeking an experienced QA Test Analyst to perform both manual and automation testing for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will work with business and technical teams to ensure applications meet business requirements and quality standards. Experience in State Government, Healthcare, Human Services, Medicaid, or Eligibility Systems is highly preferred.
This position requires a combination of manual testing, automation testing, API validation, backend data verification, and end-to-end business process testing across multiple enterprise platforms, including Salesforce, Java-based applications, Mobile/PWA applications, and integrated services.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform manual and automated testing for web, mobile, and enterprise applications.
  • Create and execute test cases, test plans, and automation scripts.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, API, UAT, and end-to-end testing.
  • Validate APIs using Postman and backend data using SQL.
  • Track and manage defects using Jira.
  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, and project teams in an Agile environment.
  • Support production releases and ensure application quality.
  • Required Skills
  • 5+ years of QA testing experience.
  • Strong experience in Manual and Automation Testing.
  • Selenium, Java, TestNG.
  • REST API Testing, Postman.
  • SQL for data validation.
  • Jira and Agile/Scrum experience.
  • Salesforce testing is a plus.

Required Qualifications
  • Five (5) or more years of Quality Assurance experience testing large enterprise applications
  • Strong experience with both manual and automation testing
  • Experience working throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Strong understanding of Quality Assurance methodologies, testing processes, and best practices
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders and technical teams
  • Ability to interpret business requirements and convert them into detailed test scenarios and test cases
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments
  • Experience using Jira for defect tracking and Agile project management
