Location: Hartford, CT Salary: $45.00 USD Hourly - $48.00 USD Hourly Description: Our client is currently seeking a QA Automation Tester
Position Overview
Our client is seeking Hands-on QA Automation Tester to support large-scale systems and ensure delivery of high-quality applications.
The role focuses on:
  • Ensuring functional requirements are met
  • Validating system quality attributes such as performance, scalability, maintainability, and security
  • Supporting both automation and manual testing
  • Driving continuous improvement within existing systems

Scope of Work - The QA Automation Tester will:
  • Follow core technology and architecture for automated testing of large-scale distributed systems
  • Automate testing based on defined specifications
  • Develop and maintain test automation components and technical documentation
  • Execute end-to-end system testing strategies
  • Support migration and integration testing (legacy and new technologies)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define testing needs
  • Review system requirements, test scripts, and scenarios
  • Work with development, product, and operations teams for testing best practices
  • Generate testing deliverables, including:

Unit tests
Functional tests
Regression tests
Load tests
Code coverage reports
Compliance validations (ADA/508c/AWGA)
Cross-browser and mobile compatibility
  • Maintain up-to-date test libraries and artifacts
  • Create automated test cases aligned to Agile acceptance criteria

Required Skills & Experience
Core Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience with Azure DevOps Suite:

Azure Boards, Repos, Pipelines, Test Plans, Artifacts
  • 5+ years of experience in test automation using UFT (Unified Functional Testing) and VBScript or other programming languages
  • 5+ years of experience in:

Automated & Manual Testing
Test methodologies and strategies
  • 5+ years of Agile methodology experience

Technical Expertise
  • UI, Backend, API, and Hardware Test Automation
  • Experience in at least two large-scale Agile projects
  • Knowledge of:

CI/CD and Continuous Integration
Web, Distributed, Performance, Regression, Database, Mobile, Security, Accessibility & Web Service testing
  • Familiarity with:

.NET, SharePoint, Salesforce
Data modeling and database design
Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA)
  • Strong QA practices in Agile environments (test planning, execution, defect tracking)
  • DevOps and CI environment setup
  • Test Driven Development (TDD)
  • Object-Oriented design principles

Preferred Qualifications
