Overview:

SOSi is seeking a highly qualified Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team on site in Fort Belvoir, VA, in support of our government customers. The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for supporting the Project Manager and technical teams by ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of all software deliverables developed for Army and DoD programs. The QA Analyst designs and executes tests to validate functionality, performance, security, accessibility, and data integrity of Microsoft Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps, Power BI, and Power Automate workflows. This role analyzes requirements, prepares detailed test plans, reports defects, and ensures each solution meets contractual, operational, and regulatory standards. The QA Analyst also participates in configuration management processes, supports project scheduling through effort estimation, and assists with managing the full software testing lifecycle (STLC) across multiple IT projects.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Plan, design, and execute test cases for Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI solutions.
  • Validate functional, performance, integration, and security requirements for all developed applications.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and test scripts based on functional and technical specifications.
  • Analyze test results and document software defects with clear, actionable detail.
  • Support the Project Manager by providing test effort estimations for project schedules.
  • Participate in requirement reviews to ensure test coverage and alignment with contract deliverables.
  • Conduct regression, functional, exploratory, and user acceptance testing as required.
  • Ensure all defects are tracked, verified, resolved, and retested prior to deployment.
  • Monitor software quality metrics and escalate risk areas to the Project Manager.
  • Validate data integrity, calculations, visuals, and business rules implemented in Power BI reports.
  • Coordinate with developers to clarify requirements, expected behavior, and test case outcomes.
  • Apply configuration management practices to align testing efforts with CCB-approved changes.
  • Maintain complete and accurate test documentation, including test results, traceability matrices, and quality reports.
  • Support multiple IT projects simultaneously by managing testing phases across the STLC.
  • Assist in ensuring all deliverables meet Government standards, Army Records Management policies, and DoD compliance.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • An active in scope of Secret security clearance.
  • Must possess baseline and computing environment certifications for IAT-II IAW DoD 8570.01-M (CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, CND, or SSCP).
  • Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in technical or business discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of software testing and quality assurance experience.
  • Experience testing solutions built on Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of testing principles, methodologies, and best practices for enterprise applications.
  • Ability to design and execute functional and regression test cases.
  • Familiarity with GOTS and COTS systems and associated testing requirements.
  • Understanding of configuration management workflows, including Change Control Board (CCB) processes.
  • Ability to provide accurate test effort estimations for project scheduling.
  • Experience managing testing phases across multiple IT projects.
  • Knowledge of the full Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC).
  • Ability to create and maintain test documentation and defect reports.
  • Strong analytical skills for identifying root causes of defects and quality issues.
  • Ability to validate data integrity and business logic within BI reports.
  • Effective communication skills for working closely with developers, analysts, and Project Managers.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a testing team.

  • Core hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 0600 - 1700.
