ROLE SUMMARY

The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst is responsible for maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of post-closing documentation, loan servicing activities and operational processes within the Credit Administration department. This role supports quality assurance reviews, audit readiness, reporting and analytics process, improvement initiatives and business analysis functions.

The QA Analyst ensures that loan files meet internal quality standards and comply with regulatory, investor, and secondary market requirements. 

This position directly supports the Bank's mission-driven lending objectives, including financing for small businesses, nonprofits, affordable housing, and commercial real estate projects.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality Assurance and Monitoring

  • Perform Post-Booking Reviews on all new commercial loans and renewals to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with bank policies and procedures 
  • Perform Daily File Maintenance Reviews (next day), document and log errors and discrepancies
  • Perform quality assurance checks for the entire loan portfolio on a continuous basis throughout the month to ensure proper coding and proper exception reporting to reduce the risk of improper financial reporting
  • Identify and resolve complex discrepancies in loan documentation and servicing activities
  • Collaborate with loan officers, underwriters, loan closing and servicing to improve loan processes and operational efficiency. 
  • Perform risk assessments and recommend corrective actions and process improvements
  • Assist with Abrigo maintenance, workflow updates, system upgrades, training and process documentation
  • Promote a culture of quality assurance, consistency and operational excellence across departments
  • Assist with departmental and cross-functional projects, as needed

Audit Readiness and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Support audit readiness by ensuring loan documentation, quality control records and reporting are accurate, complete, and readily accessible

Reporting and Analytics

  • Collect and analyze quality-related data, generate reports, and recommend improvements based on trends and findings
  • Serve as a business analyst by evaluating workflows, identifying and resolving operational inefficiencies, in conjunction with the Chief Credit Officer, and supporting credit reporting and analytical projects 
  • Analyze, and interpret operational and quality data, develop reports and dashboards using Microsoft excel and Power BI to support reporting and decision-making


Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial lending, credit administration, loan operations or quality assurance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of banking regulations and credit administration standards, audit processes and compliance requirements.
  • High organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial software, and Power BI.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and attention- to- detail skills Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work across departments
  • Experience supporting internal and external audit processes
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentÂ
