Job description

Job Title: Sr. Network Engineer - Switching & Network Operations
Job Location: Orlando, FL
Job Type: Contract

Job Description:
  • Manage and support enterprise switching environments (L2/L3).
  • Design and deploy network architectures (core, distribution, access layers).
  • Troubleshoot network issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Configure and maintain VLANs, STP, VRFs, QoS, and network segmentation.
  • Support hardware lifecycle, upgrades, and refresh activities.
  • Monitor network performance using tools like Logic Monitor.
  • Manage incidents, changes, and problems using ServiceNow.
  • Collaborate with security, cloud, and wireless teams.
  • Assist with automation using Python or scripting tools.
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation.
Requirement:
  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise networking.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Layer 2 & Layer 3 switching.
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN, routing protocols, DNS, DHCP, and IPAM.
  • Experience with STP, VRFs, multicast, QoS, and HA protocols (HSRP/VRRP).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (SNMP, NetFlow, Syslog).
  • Experience in incident management and troubleshooting.
  • CCNA or CCNP certification is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Python or network automation.
  • Exposure to NetDevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of tools/technologies like Aruba, Palo Alto, Infoblox, F5.
