Job Description:
The Senior Quant Developer performs highly advanced (senior-level) python programming to support our quantitative equity strategies team. Works under minimal supervision with extensive latitude for initiative and independent judgement.
Minimum/Preferred Qualifications:
โ€ข 3+ years of solid Python programming skills to cleanse, manipulate, and present data, particularly using quantitative data analysis libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, etc.
โ€ข 3+ years of financial industry experience in a report development, data science, business analytics, business intelligence or comparable data engineering role, including data warehousing and business intelligence tools, techniques and technology
โ€ข 6+ years of full-time experience developing and maintaining enterprise scale applications
โ€ข Experience deploying and supporting Python apps to both Windows and Linux environments
โ€ข Knowledge of TSQL to write complex, highly-optimized queries across large volumes of data
โ€ข Experience managing projects and developing applications using the Agile SCRUM methodology
โ€ข Excellent oral and written communication skills
โ€ข Ability to explain complicated or technical information in a simple way to non-technical audiences
โ€ข Ability and willingness to refactor code produced by others and make production-ready
