Job Title: Azure Data Engineer Overview / Summary We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer with 5–10 years of relevant experience, including 5–7 years focused on Azure-based data engineering solutions. The role involves designing, developing, modifying, and implementing software programming applications, supporting software applications and operating systems, and participating in software testing activities. The ideal candidate is experienced with Azure data technologies, works effectively on complex tasks, and applies sound judgment and creativity to deliver solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, modify, develop, write, and implement software programming applications. Support and/or install software applications and operating systems. Participate in the software testing process through test review, analysis, test witnessing, and software certification. Develop and maintain Azure-based data engineering solutions. Work with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, and Synapse Analytics. Perform data transformation and scripting using SQL, Python, or Scala. Work with Azure Cosmos DB and other Azure data storage solutions. Perform discovery of existing tools and data flows and recommend data models, where applicable. Plan and accomplish complex tasks using experience and judgment. Required Qualifications 5–10 years of relevant work experience. 5–7 years of experience in data engineering with a focus on Azure-based solutions. Strong experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, and Synapse Analytics. Knowledge of SQL, Python, or Scala for data transformation and scripting. Hands-on experience with Azure Cosmos DB and other Azure data storage solutions. Familiarity with software testing processes, including test review, analysis, test witnessing, and certification. Familiarity with a variety of software development concepts, practices, and procedures. Ability to perform discovery on existing tools and data flows and recommend data models is a plus.
