Job Description:

Candidates needed with strong Azure data engineering experience, specifically ADF, Databricks, Synapse, and Cosmos DB. Hands-on SQL/Python/Scala skills and experience working with complex data flows or digital marketing/ecommerce data environments.

Overview / Summary

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer with 5–10 years of relevant experience in designing, developing, and implementing software and data engineering solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure-based technologies, data transformation, and analytics platforms. This role involves working on complex tasks, supporting software applications, participating in testing processes, and contributing to data flow analysis and data modeling recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, modify, develop, write, and implement software programming applications.
  • Support and/or install software applications and operating systems.
  • Participate in the testing process through test review, analysis, witnessing, and certification of software.
  • Work with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, and Synapse Analytics for data engineering solutions.
  • Perform data transformation and scripting using SQL, Python, or Scala.
  • Work with Azure Cosmos DB and other Azure data storage solutions.
  • Conduct discovery on existing tools and data flows and recommend data models where applicable.
  • Handle a variety of complex tasks with a high degree of creativity and independent judgment.

Required Qualifications

  • 10–12 years of relevant work experience.
  • 8–10 years of experience in data engineering focused on Azure-based solutions.
  • Strong experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, and Synapse Analytics.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python, or Scala for data transformation and scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Cosmos DB and other Azure data storage solutions.
  • Familiarity with software testing processes including test review and analysis.
  • Ability to work on complex tasks with creativity and latitude.
  • Experience or understanding of digital marketing or ecommerce data domains preferred.
