Job description

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler with strong expertise in enterprise data modeling, Databricks Lakehouse architecture, and Azure Data Platform technologies, along with Insurance domain experience. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing conceptual, logical, and physical data models, designing Bronze, Silver, and Gold layer structures, and supporting large-scale data warehouse, data lake, and data modernization programs. The candidate will collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Data Architects, and Engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable, governed, and high-quality data models.
Key Responsibilities
β€’ Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise data platforms.
β€’ Define data entities, attributes, relationships, and business rules for Lakehouse implementations.
β€’ Design data models supporting Databricks Lakehouse Architecture across Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers.
β€’ Apply dimensional modeling concepts, including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and Data Vault.
β€’ Develop Source-to-Target Mapping documents and support data migration activities.
β€’ Collaborate with Data Architects and Engineering teams to design curated Silver and Gold layer data structures.
β€’ Support data lineage, data quality, governance, and consistency across enterprise data platforms.
β€’ Ensure data models are scalable and aligned with enterprise data architecture standards.
β€’ Support large-scale Data Warehouse, Data Lake, data modernization, and cloud transformation initiatives.
β€’ Participate in data model reviews, architecture discussions, and data governance processes.
β€’ Perform advanced SQL development and data analysis to support modeling and data requirements.
β€’ Collaborate with Business Analysts, Data Architects, Engineering teams, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and develop effective data solutions.
β€’ Participate in data discovery workshops and translate business requirements into technical data models.
β€’ Support data modernization and migration initiatives through data analysis, mapping, and model redesign.
Required Qualifications
β€’ Strong experience in Enterprise Data Modeling, including Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data Models.
β€’ Experience designing data models for Databricks Lakehouse Architecture across Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers.
β€’ Expertise in Dimensional Modeling, including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and Data Vault concepts.
β€’ Strong knowledge of Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, and Spark-based data platforms.
β€’ Experience with Source-to-Target Mapping, Data Lineage, and Data Quality Frameworks.
β€’ Advanced SQL and Data Analysis skills.
β€’ Experience working with large-scale Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Data Modernization programs.
β€’ Ability to collaborate with Business Analysts, Data Architects, and Engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable data models.
β€’ Strong Insurance domain experience.
