Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer/Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold an active TS/SCI clearance, possess CompTIA Security+ certification or higher, and work onsite at Patrick Space Force Base. The successful candidate will be responsible for modernizing and migrating analytics applications into a high-performance web application using modern web technologies.

Essential Functions:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain full stack applications, including user-facing interfaces, back-end services, APIs, and data integrations.
  • Build modern, responsive, and intuitive front-end solutions using current web development frameworks and best practices.
  • Develop secure and scalable back-end services and application logic to support mission applications and workflows.
  • Deploy and maintain applications in AWS, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-effective.
  • Integrate cloud-native services, databases, and application components across distributed environments.
  • Apply software engineering best practices across the full development lifecycle, including code reviews, automated testing, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with system engineers, cloud engineers, cyber teams, and mission stakeholders to define requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Engage in daily interaction with customers to understand operational needs, gather feedback, and refine application functionality.
  • Prepare architectural designs, implementation plans, and technical roadmaps that align with organizational and mission goals.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation for system design, application architecture, deployment procedures, and sustainment activities.
  • Deliver professional presentations and technical briefings to stakeholders, translating complex concepts into clear and actionable information.
  • Support a variety of mission areas and adapt to evolving priorities in a dynamic operational environment.
  • Familiarity with the C2S Access Portal (CAP) and high-side AWS environments.
  • Familiarity with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, DynamoDB, or other relational/non-relational data stores.
  • Security+ Certification or any DoD IAT Level II Certification, or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of accepting position.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or computer engineering and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience developing AI/ML-enabled mission applications, analytical tools, or decision-support capabilities involving advanced data processing, automation, visualization, and user interaction.
  • Experience with scientific, sensor-derived, geophysical, acoustic, seismic, infrasonic, or other mission-relevant technical data is highly desired.
  • Experience as a Full Stack Developer with proficiency in front-end, back-end, and cloud-based application development.
  • Proficiency with modern front-end technologies such as React, Angular, Vue, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience developing back-end services and APIs using languages/frameworks such as Java, Python, Node.js, .NET, or similar.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and application integration patterns.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Experience transitioning research or prototype capabilities into operational software tools, supporting classified DoD mission environments strongly preferred.
  • Experience building and deploying mission applications in classified or high-security environments.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
