Job description

Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer - Applications
Type: Long-term Contract
Contractor Work Model: Remote
Responsibilities:
  • Manage, support, and optimize enterprise business applications supporting plant operations, including EAM/ERP systems and the Dynamic Work Execution Platform (DWEP).
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise applications in Windows and Linux environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Lead conversion of procedures into digital instructions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance usability and compliance.
  • Support integration between enterprise platforms such as IoT, GIS, SCADA, financial, and HR systems, including automation of deployment and monitoring.
  • Participate in business continuity, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity compliance efforts, supporting audits and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead or contribute to system lifecycle initiatives, including upgrades, implementation, and retirement to ensure seamless operations.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering teamwork and collaboration.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years managing enterprise or business applications, with at least 5 years administering ERP/EAM platforms in regulated environments such as utilities or manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP/EAM systems like Oracle, IBM Maximo, or Asset Suite.
  • Proficiency in SQL, scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash), and API/ETL integration tools.
  • Experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS), hybrid environments, and enterprise application hosting.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, ITSM tools, and ITIL processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with excellent communication abilities.
  • Preferred: 5+ years experience with nuclear-grade procedures and familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as FERC, NERC CIP, or NQA-1.
