Job Title: Software Engineer
Location: Fort Worth, TX

Hours: 40.0 (10 hours days)
Security Clearance: Active Secret with Investigation in the last 5 years or CE enrollment.
Overview
Join a software engineering team supporting the migration of a secure software development environment to AWS GovCloud. You'll help stand up and maintain the full development toolchain, including CI/CD pipelines and developer environments, while contributing to day-to-day software development in C++ and Python on Linux. This role is hands-on and collaborative, with strong emphasis on DevOps-style engineering practices, communication, and disciplined delivery.
What you'll do
  • Lead and support migration of a software development network to an AWS GovCloud-based environment
  • Build, configure, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines including YAML-based pipeline definitions
  • Stand up and support developer environments and associated toolchain components
  • Develop and maintain software in C++ (C++11) and Python in a Linux environment
  • Troubleshoot pipeline and build issues and improve reliability of the delivery process
  • Collaborate daily with engineers and stakeholders in an Agile environment
  • Contribute estimates, technical input, and continuous improvement ideas

Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a STEM discipline such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, Physics, or related field
  • 3+ years of AWS GovCloud experience
  • 3+ years of GitLab experience in a pipeline/CI environment
  • 5+ years of professional development experience using C++ and Python
  • Linux-based software development experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Required tools and platforms (hands-on)
  • AWS GovCloud
  • GitLab including CI/CD pipelines and YAML

  • Artifactory

Preferred qualifications and nice-to-haves
  • CMake experience
  • Atlassian suite experience including Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence

  • AUnit, gnatmake, GNAT toolchain familiarity
