Job description

SQL Database Engineer
Will need to work in the Jedson Cin, OH office. Hybrid Schedule
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases, tables, views, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex T-SQL queries and database performance issues.
  • Administer SQL Server environments, including monitoring, maintenance, upgrades, and security.
  • Develop and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Support data integrations, ETL processes, and Power BI reporting solutions.
  • Collaborate with application teams on database design, deployments, and production support.
  • Assist with internal application development, reporting, and data-driven solutions as business needs require.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and change management processes.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to database and data platform technologies.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of SQL Server administration and development experience.
  • Strong T-SQL skills, including query optimization, indexing, and stored procedure development.
  • Experience with database performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Solid understanding of relational database design and data modeling.
  • Experience with backup, recovery, security, and high-availability concepts.
  • Proficiency with SQL Server administration tools such as SSMS and SQL Agent.
  • Experience feeding data with Power BI reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Knowledge of source control and database deployment practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, or other SQL Server data platform technologies.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with PHP or other web application development technologies.
