Overview:
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Power BI Expert with strong SQL development skills to design, build, and optimize business intelligence dashboards and reports. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming complex datasets into actionable insights and supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
  • Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple sources.
  • Develop data models (Star/Snowflake schemas) and ensure efficient data relationships in Power BI.
  • Optimize DAX calculations and Power Query transformations for performance.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and refresh scheduling through proper data governance practices.
  • Integrate Power BI with databases (SQL Server, Azure SQL, Oracle, etc.) and cloud platforms.
  • Manage report publishing, user access, and workspace configuration in the Power BI Service.
  • Create documentation and provide training/support to end users.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in Power BI development and data visualization.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and optimization.
  • Hands-on experience in DAX, Power Query (M), and Power BI Service.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL, or other RDBMS.
  • Knowledge of performance tuning, data security, and report deployment best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, or other BI tools (Tableau, Qlik).

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control tools (Git).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
