What is a Python React developer?

Python React Developers are software engineers who specialize in building web applications using Python for backend development and React.js for frontend development. These professionals are skilled in creating robust server-side logic with Python frameworks like Django or Flask, while designing interactive and responsive user interfaces with React. Their combined expertise ensures seamless integration between the frontend and backend, resulting in efficient, scalable, and user-friendly applications.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Python React developer?

To thrive as a Python React Developer, you need strong proficiency in Python for backend development and React.js for building dynamic user interfaces, often supported by a degree in computer science or related field. Familiarity with frameworks like Django or Flask, RESTful APIs, version control systems like Git, and modern JavaScript tools is essential, along with experience in cloud platforms or CI/CD pipelines. Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills help you work effectively within development teams and translate client requirements into robust solutions. These skills ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable applications that meet user needs and business objectives in a rapidly evolving tech landscape.

How do Python React developers typically collaborate with backend and frontend teams on a project?

Python React Developers often act as a bridge between backend and frontend teams, leveraging their expertise in both domains. They work closely with backend developers to design and implement RESTful APIs or GraphQL endpoints in Python frameworks like Django or Flask, while also collaborating with frontend specialists to build seamless user interfaces in React. Regular stand-ups, code reviews, and shared documentation are common practices that ensure effective communication and alignment across the team. This collaborative environment helps deliver cohesive and scalable web applications.

What is the difference between Python React Developer vs JavaScript Front-End Developer?

Job description

Company Description Duracell Power Center, a Duracell Authorized Licensee, designs and manufactures smart home energy storage solutions that give people the freedom to power their homes with clean, affordable, and reliable energy. The company focuses on products that benefit both homeowners and the planet, emphasizing flexibility and compatibility with new and existing solar systems. Its flagship product, the Duracell Power Center, is a modular and easy-to-install home battery and solar storage solution. Using industry-leading lithium iron phosphate battery technology, Duracell Power Center delivers dependable performance under one of the most trusted names in power.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Product Engineer, Full-Stack role based in San Jose, CA. The Product Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and refine hardware and software features for home energy storage products, ensuring seamless integration with solar and battery systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include translating product requirements into technical specifications, implementing and testing full-stack solutions, troubleshooting performance issues, and contributing to continuous product improvement. The role also involves collaborating with R&D, product design, and manufacturing teams to optimize system reliability, user experience, and installation efficiency, while maintaining detailed documentation and supporting product releases.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Product Engineering and Research and Development (R&D) skills to drive end-to-end product development and innovation.
  • Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret data, diagnose complex issues, and inform design and engineering decisions.
  • Candidates should possess Product Design skills to contribute to user-centric, manufacturable, and scalable energy storage solutions.
  • Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with engineering, R&D, product management, and operations teams.
  • Experience with full-stack development (front-end and back-end), APIs, and embedded or IoT systems related to energy or hardware products.
  • Proficiency with modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, React, Node.js, or similar) and version control tools.
  • Background in electrical, mechanical, or systems engineering related to batteries, solar, or power electronics is highly beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

The role

This role is dedicated to building out our front end, with the opportunity to take meaningful ownership of the product experience and help shape how our products come to life. The role has two key areas of focus.

Core Responsibilities

Web portal:

  • Own the product surfaces: admin, installs, alarms UX, account/settings, onboarding flows, forms
  • Own front-end quality: keep typecheck/lint/test gates green and enforced, burn down tracked type debt, stabilize flaky tests
  • Build the API-consumer side of new features against a clean one-hook-per-domain architecture
  • Two-way code review with the technical lead

Mobile (no prior React Native required — it is TypeScript + React + jest, the same skills):

  • Take two Expo apps through build, store submission, and review — then own versioning, releases, and maintenance
  • Close out the release checklist alongside the technical lead
  • Keep the 1,000+-test mobile suite green as the apps evolves

First 90 days

  • Day 30: Type debt cleared and gates enforced; first product surfaces shipped; reviewing pull requests.
  • Day 60: Owns routine web feature work; first store builds submitted for both apps.
  • Day 90: Both apps live and maintained by this role.

Qualifications — must have

  • 3+ years shipping React + TypeScript products (professional, production, users)
  • Testing as a habit — comfortable in vitest/jest + Testing Library; does not ship red gates
  • Solid API-integration instincts (data fetching/caching, error states, loading states that don’t lie)
  • Fluent, critical use of AI coding tools — moves fast with them and verifies what is produced
  • Self-directed — this is a two-engineer front end; owns outcomes, not tickets

Nice to have

  • Expo/React Native and app-store release experience
  • Python familiarity; charts or mapping libraries; design-system experience (Tailwind, Radix/shadcn)
  • Energy/solar/IoT domain interest

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision
  • 401(k)
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • Paid company holidays

Salary Range: $160,000 to $190,000 yearly, based on skills and experience
