Job description

We are seeking a QA Supervisor to become an integral part of our team! You will develop and execute software test plans in order to identify software issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and provide guidance to QA personnel to ensure effective execution of quality activities and compliance with organizational objectives.
  • Generate quality assurance documentation, including quality plans, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Prepare regular reports on quality metrics, trends, and performance indicators by collecting, analyzing, summarizing data and making recommendations. Maintain accurate records of quality control activities, including inspection reports, test results, and corrective actions.
  • Summarize and communicate quality issues to the management and customer for review.
  • Support implementation of corrective actions/preventative action systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Facilitate training sessions to educate production staff on quality assurance best practices and standards.
  • Audit quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Ensure that corrective measures meet acceptable standards, and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
  • Devise and implement test strategies that adequately assess all software aspects
  • Investigate and recreate reported defects
  • Work with other engineers to troubleshoot and resolve coding issues
  • Track and document all testing defects and resolutions 
  • Participate in the design and development for test automation and support

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in software development, quality assurance, or other related fields
  • Knowledge of Java, Python, or other programming languages
  • Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server
  • Strong root-cause analysis skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
