Job description

Be Part Of A High-Performing Team:

Join a high-impact capital markets technology team supporting front-office trading applications used across fixed income and derivatives trading. This group partners closely with trading desks and technology stakeholders to strengthen automation coverage, improve regression reliability, and support business-critical trading workflows. The environment is fast-moving, highly technical, and centered on building scalable test automation for systems used in real-time trading and market execution.

What's In Store For You:

Engagement: W2 only (no C2C/1099)

This is a long-term contract opportunity with potential for conversion, supporting front-office trading technology in a hybrid Charlotte, NC environment. The role offers direct exposure to fixed income trading workflows, Python automation, trader-facing applications, and automation framework expansion across UI, API, and performance-focused testing needs.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Build, maintain, and expand Python-based automated test coverage for front-office trading applications.
  • Convert manual trading workflow scenarios into scalable automated regression tests.
  • Support testing across fixed income trading applications, swaps trading systems, credit default swaps, bonds, munis, corporates, treasuries, futures, and related trading workflows.
  • Partner with technology teams and trading desk users to understand how applications are used in real trading scenarios.
  • Validate workflows such as order creation, market making, trade execution, market data usage, and downstream handoffs.
  • Contribute to API automation framework expansion and help close current automation coverage gaps.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, API, and performance-oriented testing aligned to trader-specific usage patterns.
  • Analyze failures, troubleshoot defects, and collaborate with developers and business stakeholders through resolution.

Are you an experienced Python QA automation professional with front-office fixed income trading expertise?

  • Strong Python programming/scripting ability with the ability to pass a live coding assessment.
  • Proven QA automation or SDET experience supporting capital markets trading applications.
  • Hands-on experience with Python-based automation frameworks, ideally using pytest, Selenium, Playwright, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of front-office trading workflows, especially fixed income, swaps, credit default swaps, bonds, munis, corporates, treasuries, or futures.
  • Experience with OMS, EMS, market data, trading platforms, or sales/trading systems.
  • Exposure to platforms such as Triforce, DealerWeb, Sophis, Murex, Charles River, Calypso, Bloomberg, or comparable homegrown trading systems is a strong plus.
  • Experience building or scaling API automation frameworks is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with developers, QA teams, business users, and trading desk stakeholders.
  • Must be comfortable working hybrid in Charlotte, NC, with at least two onsite days per week.
