Salary range (but not limited to):

94,200 - 115,200

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. About the role

We're looking for an AI Developer, Full Stack (Python/React) II to join our growing team!


What you'll do here:

  • Join a cross-functional team developing innovative data product to solve business problems.
  • Write well-designed, efficient code that can be tested, repeatedly.
  • Influence the AI roadmap of the biggest P&C insurer in Canada.
  • Keep pace with new technologies and use them in your own solutions.
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary environment mixing people from data science, software engineering, actuarial science, business and design.
  • Share knowledge with interns, data scientist and other software developer to grow, as a team.

What you bring to the table:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Python, REST/ GraphQL APIs, AWS (S3, Lambda, sagemaker or similar services).
  • Experience with machine learning and scientific computing libraries such as scikit-learn, NumPy, SciPy, Tensorflow, etc.
  • Experience with pipelines, Ingestions/automations.
  • Good knowledge of software engineering practices such as design patterns, knowledge of the development cycle and other tools such as Git, Jira, Confluence.
  • The commitment to be a great, collaborative teammate.
  • Unlimited curiosity and a passion to challenge the status quo.
  • Ability to focus on vaguely defined issues requiring the application of a creative approach.
  • Strong communication, time management and work organization skills.
  • If you don't have experience in the AI field, a strong motivation to learn this new and exciting field.
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.

Nice-to-have:

  • Highly desired: Frontend experience with React framework, Typescript, async handling & state management tool.
  • Knowledge of DevOps modern tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, ELK.
  • Knowledge of the development technologies such as MongoDB, Kafka.
  • Experience developing data and machine learning pipelines.
  • Experience in Insurance domain.
