Job description

U.S. Citizenship Required. Ability to qualify for a US Department of Defense security clearance required. This is an on-site position located in Goleta, CA. We are seeking a Computational Multiphysics Engineer with expertise in numerical methods and mathematical simulation to support the design and analysis of advanced antenna systems integrated into aerospace platforms. Successful design requires detailed analysis of electromagnetic, thermal, and structural effects interacting with one another. While a background in electromagnetics and antenna design is ideal, we also welcome candidates with strong expertise in computational physics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, or materials science who are eager to apply their mathematical, programming, and problem-solving abilities to aerospace electromagnetic challenges. Key Responsibilities: * Use commercial and proprietary modeling tools to simulate and optimize antenna systems and RF components.
* Integrate electromagnetic simulations with multiphysics models, including thermal, structural, and aerodynamic analyses.
* Work with large-scale computational environments, including high-performance computing (HPC) clusters and GPU-accelerated simulations.
* Develop and automate analysis workflows using Python, MATLAB, or C++ to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
* Collaborate with RF engineers, mechanical engineers, and aerospace system designers to ensure seamless integration of antennas into complex platforms.
* Compile and report on simulation results and design recommendations to Toyon and customer program management. Requirements * Ph.D. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related field with a focus on computational modeling.
* 3 or more years of relevant technical experience (thesis work included).
* Experience with computational electromagnetics methods (e.g., FDTD, FEM, MoM, UTD, or hybrid techniques).
* Strong programming skills in Python, MATLAB, or C++ for simulation automation and data analysis.

The annual pay range for the Computational Multiphysics Engineer position is $125,000 to $195,000. The posted pay range values provide the candidate with guidance on annual base compensation for the position, at a full time level of effort, exclusive of overtime, bonus, and benefits-related compensation, over a range of qualifications that may fit hiring objectives.
