Job Description We are seeking an experienced Application Programmer to support the AI Copilot Agent initiative within the Global Technology division at Bank of America. The role will focus on Python, Spark, and Airflow development to deliver complex requirements that improve developer experience, advance platform innovation, enhance digital experiences, support application accessibility, and reduce risk through alignment to enterprise architecture and governance. Engagement Details: Start: July or August Onsite required in Charlotte, NC or Addison, TX Assessment: GLIDER ID required Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain data and ML workflows using Python, Apache Spark, and Apache Airflow for the AI Copilot Agent program.

Implement and optimize Spark MLlib pipelines to support model training, evaluation, and deployment processes. Develop clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces and services that integrate into enterprise applications and platforms. Perform unit testing, code reviews, and ensure compliance with functional, non-functional, and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with platform, data, and DevEx teams to improve developer experience and align with enterprise architecture standards. Troubleshoot production issues and drive continuous improvement in quality, performance, and reliability. Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong proficiency in Python for data engineering and application development.

Hands-on experience with Apache Spark, including Spark SQL and Spark MLlib. Production experience building and scheduling data pipelines with Apache Airflow. Knowledge of software testing practices, CI/CD, and secure coding standards in enterprise environments.

Effective communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams. Experience level: 5+ years in application or data engineering roles. Preferred Skills: Experience in financial services or regulated enterprise environments.
