Job Description We are seeking a Senior Python Developer to join our dynamic Cleared Derivatives Risk Technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python 3.x, messaging systems, and database design and a proven ability to design, develop, and support intraday risk and clearing certainty platforms for OTC and ETD products. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and test risk applications using Python and object-oriented design patterns. Contribute to intraday risk and clearing certainty platforms for OTC and ETD businesses. Adopt and leverage an N-tier, component-based architecture. Collaborate with business, credit risk, and technology teams to understand and resolve issues. Report on project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders. Create and maintain technical documentation. Mentor junior developers and promote best practices. Required Skills & Qualifications: 7+ years of hands-on experience with Python 3.x. Experience with pub/sub and queue messaging systems (AMPS preferred). Strong database skills including SQL, Oracle, and table design. Proficiency in analytical and object-oriented design and programming. Ability to work effectively within an N-tier, component-based architecture. Demonstrated collaboration and team skills. Preferred Skills: Degree in computer science or a related field. Comfort with event-driven paradigms, multithreading, and asynchronous concepts. Knowledge of IRS, CDS, repos, and futures/options products. Experience with MongoDB, NoSQL, JSON, and design patterns. Experience with React.js. Experience with Java and object-oriented DB/SQL concepts. Familiarity with Bank of America Quartz environment and Quartz stack (DAG, QzRT, QFS Deal Model). Additional Details: Start: ASAP.
