What You’ll Be Doing (We don’t love the bullet points, but we love the work!)


In this key role, you'll get to dive deep into designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-wide Tools and Services to support the agency's collaboration and productivity suite of products. You'll get to be part of a cross-functional team including software developers, system administrators, project managers, and mission customers that deliver seamless integrations that elevate productivity and streamline our mission to drive excellence.


You will get to work with cutting edge systems which might include (but are likely not limited to) containerization tools (remember, this is HPC), novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets (again, HPC!), real-time systems, business management information systems, and systems which incorporate data repositories, data transport services, and application and systems development and monitoring. All being critical to the success of the customer and the overall mission at large.


Required Skills

– Experience using the Linux CLI

– Experience developing with Java, Python, or Rust n a Linux environment

– Experience developing with Bash/Python/Groovy scripts to automate administrative tasks and workflows

– Experience with IaC principles and automation tools e.g., Ansible, Salt, Puppet

– Experience with GitLab CI/CD technologies


Position Desired Skills

– Experience with sustaining mission applications deployed in a Linux environment

– Experience with communicating / interacting with external customers


Qualifications

– (5) years’ experience

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
