Job description

Job Title: STEM Instructor
Role Overview
Are you a STEM enthusiast who loves working with kids but hates the stress of lesson planning? We are looking for a reliable, high-energy STEM Instructor to join our team.
You’ll spend your week visiting different schools to deliver exciting, pre-made presentations on topics like 3D design and Snap Circuits. We provide the curriculum and the gear; you provide the inspiration and the expertise!
Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Engaging Lessons: Facilitate "plug-and-play" STEM presentations and hands-on activities for students.
  • Classroom Management: Lead and inspire groups of 15–25 students, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Teamwork & Collaboration: Work closely with our internal team to coordinate schedules and collaborate with school-site staff to ensure every visit is a success.
  • Mobile Operations: Transport kit materials to various school sites daily and ensure all equipment is organized and ready for the next class.

What We’re Looking For

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree (or current upper-level enrollment) in a STEM-related field (Engineering, Math, Science, etc.).
  • Experience with Kids: You’ve spent time as a coach, tutor, camp counselor, or teacher and know how to keep a classroom's attention.
  • Reliable Transportation: This is a mobile role. You must have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license to travel to different schools 5 days a week.
  • Collaborative Spirit: You are a team player who communicates clearly and works well with others to hit program goals.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Schedule: 5 days a week (Monday–Friday) during school hours. Schedule is not consistent.
  • Pay: $20.00 per hour.
  • Benefits: No lesson planning required! All materials, slides, and equipment are provided by us

Company Description

In an era where technological literacy is as fundamental as reading and writing, private schools face a dual challenge: delivering rigorous, cutting-edge STEM education while maintaining their unique institutional values. Falberg STEM bridges this gap. We are a specialized educational consultancy and teaching program dedicated exclusively to the private school sector in the New Jersey area.
Unlike mass-market enrichment franchises, Falberg STEM operates as a strategic extension of your faculty. We understand that elite education requires more than "edutainment"; it demands depth, curriculum alignment, and a focus on critical inquiry.
Our Core Competencies:
Curriculum Integration: We design and deliver bespoke modules in Robotics, Coding (Block Coding/Python), and Engineering that integrate seamlessly with your school’s academic scope and sequence.
The "Maker" Mindset: Bringing the capabilities of a Fabrication Lab to your classroom. From 3D printing to rapid prototyping, we empower students to move from abstract concepts to tangible solutions.
Future-Ready Skills: Implementation of emerging technology units, including Environmental Data Science and Artificial Intelligence ethics, aligning with the latest New Jersey educational standards.
