The Role

We are looking for a Healthcare Data Developer with strong Snowflake, SQL and Python skills to support the development and testing of healthcare fee schedules. This role will work with healthcare claims data and business requirements to develop data transformations, implement pricing and reimbursement logic, and validate results.

Work You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain healthcare fee schedule solutions using Snowflake, SQL, and Python
  • Translate business and reimbursement requirements into technical logic and data transformations
  • Analyze healthcare claims data to support fee schedule development and validation
  • Develop SQL queries and Python scripts for data processing, transformation, validation, and automation
  • Implement and validate pricing logic based on business requirements
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and data validation testing
  • Compare expected versus actual pricing results and investigate discrepancies
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues related to data, business rules, or technical implementation
  • Develop automated validation processes to improve the efficiency and accuracy of fee schedule testing
  • Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and clarify pricing rules
  • Support UAT and resolve issues identified during business testing
  • Perform data reconciliation and identify gaps or inconsistencies in fee schedule coverage
  • Support deployment and post-production validation
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, business stakeholders, and onshore/offshore development teams
  • Document technical logic, testing procedures, and validation results
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare data, claims processing, healthcare analytics, data engineering, or a related field
  • Strong Snowflake and SQL skills
  • Strong Python skills for data processing, transformation, validation, and automation
  • Experience working with healthcare claims data
  • Experience with data validation, testing, or QA.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with technical and business teams
  • Willingness to engage in direct client interaction, including travel to client locations
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with healthcare fee schedules or reimbursement methodologies
  • Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, modifiers, revenue codes, DRGs/APR-DRGs, NPI, and TIN
  • Experience with professional and institutional claims management
  • Experience with healthcare payer data
  • Experience developing automated testing or validation using Python
  • Familiarity with Git, Jira, and Agile development practices
  • Based in Chicago, IL, and flexible to work from our Chicago office as needed

The estimated base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000. In addition to this base salary, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. This range is a part of a competitive, total compensation package together with our majority employer-paid benefits and incentive pay for eligible roles. Please note that this range is a guideline, and individual total compensation may vary due to numerous factors, including but not limited to experience level, certifications, and other relevant business considerations.
