The Processing, Guidance and Controls (PG&C) Center within the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities Directorate consists of Guidance, Navigation, and Control; Signal Processing; and Modeling and Simulation disciplines for Effectors.
The PG&C Center is hiring a Sr. Systems Engineer - Performance and Validation Deputy to provide simulated environments for testing of missile effectors through 6DOF modeling, RF scene modeling, performance analysis, and validation activities.
As the Sr. Systems Engineer - Performance and Validation Deputy you will serve as an expert on performance and validation activities tied to a credible simulation of a tactical missile. This position is an onsite role based in Tucson, AZ.
What You Will Do
  • You will act as a recognized Modeling, Simulation and Analysis subject matter expert in regard to complex 6-DOF simulations
  • You will work with the customer to ensure the credibility of system performance presentations of the simulation
  • You will work with the customer to ensure validation and accreditation of the tactical missile simulation
  • You will coordinate with the program's Test Architect to ensure validation referents to be used towards accreditation of the simulation
  • You will manage and track findings from weekly performance sets
  • You will coordinate trade study analysis and implementation of findings from trade studies

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience on a missile program
  • Experience designing, developing, and validating Simulations to Government standards
  • Experience with object-oriented languages and other languages such as C, C++, and Python in a Linux environment
  • Experience with design and analysis for 6DOF simulations
  • Experience working with others in technical and/or functional capacities within an engineering environment working on modeling and simulation
  • Experience with Design of Experiments and High Processor Computing resources
  • Current and active U.S. government issued Secret Security Clearance is required with the ability to obtain special program access after start

Qualifications We Prefer
  • An Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics
  • Experience using MATLAB and/or Python for evaluation and analysis of data sets
  • Experience using HPC Management tools such as SLURM

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
