PROLIM Global Corporation (www.prolim.com) is currently seeking an Engineer Guidance Navigation Control 3 for our client Northrop Grumman at location Chandler, Arizona, United States (Onsite).

Description Of Services
  • The Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineer will design, develop, implement, verify, and test algorithms and simulation tools to perform guidance, navigation, and control of missiles, launch vehicles, and spacecraft during powered and coast phases of flight.
  • Duties include working on 6 degree of freedom (6DOF) simulations to design and test missile flight code, evaluating system performance with 6DOF simulation models, and implementing autopilot and guidance designs into missile flight code.
  • This role requires experience with missile flight dynamics, autopilot and guidance design, and statistical processing of measured data points for navigation functions.
  • The ideal candidate will have proficiency in creating and maintaining analysis tools in C++, MATLAB, and Python within a Linux environment, with an active Secret clearance.

Skills/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of professional experience; Master's with 3+ years; PhD with 1+ year; or additional 4+ years experience in lieu of degree -- (Required)
  • Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application -- (Required)
  • Experience working with missile guidance, navigation, and control algorithms -- (Required)
  • Experience with missile simulation and flight dynamics -- (Required)
  • Experience designing, tuning, implementing, and testing guidance algorithms and autopilot parameters for guided missiles and/or interceptors -- (Preferred)
  • Control systems theory and flight dynamics proficiency -- (Preferred)
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining analysis tools in C++, MATLAB, and Python -- (Preferred)
  • Proficiency in C++ development in a Linux environment -- (Preferred)
