Python Go Developers often split their time based on the specific requirements of a project—using Python for tasks like scripting, automation, or rapid prototyping, and Go for building high-performance backend services or microservices. Collaboration with other team members is common, as developers may integrate Python components with Go-based systems, requiring effective communication and code documentation. Staying adaptable and comfortable context-switching between languages is key, and most teams encourage continuous learning to keep skills sharp in both ecosystems.

What are Python Go Developers?

Python Go Developers are software engineers who specialize in writing and maintaining applications using both the Python and Go (Golang) programming languages. These professionals leverage the strengths of both languages—Python for rapid development and scripting, and Go for high-performance, concurrent backend services. Their work often involves building scalable web applications, APIs, or microservices, integrating systems, and optimizing performance. Employers value Python Go Developers for their versatility and ability to choose the best tool for each task.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Python Go Developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Python Go Developer, you need strong proficiency in both Python and Go programming languages, experience with software development life cycles, and often a relevant degree in computer science or a related field. Familiarity with frameworks (such as Flask or Gin), RESTful APIs, version control systems like Git, and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP is typically expected. Effective problem-solving, teamwork, and strong communication skills help developers collaborate and adapt to evolving project needs. Mastery of these skills ensures efficient delivery of high-quality, scalable software solutions in dynamic technical environments.

Job description

Ripple Treasury, now a Ripple solution, was acquired by Ripple in 2025, marking a significant expansion into the multi-trillion-dollar corporate finance arena.

Ripple Treasury has more than 40 years of experience supporting some of the world's largest and most sophisticated companies. Integrating its treasury command center into Ripple's technology stack gives corporates the ability to move, manage and optimize liquidity in real-time, across traditional and digital assets, under one expanded umbrella.

Join us to build the future of corporate treasury and the infrastructure that powers the Internet of Value.

THE WORK:

As a Staff Software Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure, you will own Ripple's cloud platform strategy across Azure and AWS - defining the reference architectures, governance policies, and engineering standards that enable teams to build and ship reliably at scale. You will sit at the intersection of engineering, security, product, and finance to drive FinOps practices, lead technical build reviews, and ensure infrastructure is built into the solution lifecycle from day one. Beyond the technical, you will mentor engineers, shape hiring, and serve as the principal authority teams turn to when platform decisions matter most. If you want to drive the cloud foundation behind the future of global financial infrastructure, this role is for you.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Take ownership of and lead the cloud infrastructure platform strategy and multi-quarter roadmap across engineering teams.
  • Serve as the principal infrastructure authority on platform architecture, cloud patterns, and engineering standards.
  • Define reference architectures and reusable infrastructure models that empower engineering teams to build and ship reliably at scale.
  • Partner with product and engineering leadership to ensure infrastructure capabilities are built early in the solution lifecycle.
  • Take responsibility for the security stance of the cloud infrastructure platform in collaboration with the security team.
  • Define and enforce cloud governance policies, tagging standards, access controls, and architectural guardrails.
  • Take responsibility for FinOps methods related to the cloud platform, delivering insights and suggestions to engineering and finance leadership.
  • Build and maintain production-quality internal platform tooling and automation across Azure and AWS.
  • Direct the assessment and incorporation of new infrastructure technologies, take part in the on-call rotation, and apply production experience to guide platform enhancements.
  • Proactively identify and resolve technical conflicts and priority misalignments across teams; lead technical build reviews.
  • Guide Senior and mid-level engineers, take an active role in the hiring process, and foster a culture of knowledge sharing.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Hands-on proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform.
  • Strong software engineering skills with proficiency in Python, Go, PowerShell, and/or Bash.
  • Proven experience owning cloud security and governance in a regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading FinOps practices and communicating findings to leadership.
  • Track record of defining and accomplishing multi-quarter infrastructure roadmaps.
  • Experience serving as a principal technical authority and setting engineering standards.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience taking part in on-call rotations and applying that exposure to guide platform decisions.
  • A strong approach to mentorship and talent development.
  • Ideally, experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry.
