As a National Security Solutions - INTEL DE/MBSE Intern, you will:
  • Learn practical application of Digital Engineering (DE) and Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods and techniques
  • Develop SysML (Systems modeling language) based digital models of real-world systems
  • Develop software to enable simulation, software tool integration and data management
  • Examine tool integration platforms and approaches for DE/MBSE. Understand latest plugins/capabilities for existing tools - Cameo, Matlab, Ansys, etc. Explore new platforms and integration methods
  • Explore how to use digital models for numeric calculations and analytic purposes
  • Examine the relationship between physical hardware and digital models for Verification and Validation of requirements

Selected interns for this paid opportunity will be provided with the opportunity to mentor with experienced professionals, gain experience and establish a name for themselves in this high demand career field.
Required Skillset:
  • Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, or Math
  • Strong work ethics and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Moderate software/scripting skills
    • Preferably python, Java, C#, Matlab
    • Object Oriented development knowledge
    • Preferred previous experience with SW Dev environment/IDE such as Spyder, IntelliJ, Eclipse, Netbeans or Visual Studios
    • Preferred previous Cameo/SysML experience
  • Strong math background (engineering, physics, math) with basic understanding of linear optimization via Calculus (first order derivatives and matrix math)
  • Ancillary technology skills, such as wiki editing, application installation and configuration
  • Previous Modeling and simulation skills: Discrete event simulation, physics-based modeling, stochastic analysis, etc.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: Average 40 hours per week, 10 weeks in duration during the period of Summer 2026
Requirement:
  • Must be a US Citizen

Must pass a Security Pre-Screen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance
