Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Python Developer for a right to hire assignment with one of our premier financial services clients in Tampa, FL or Irving, TX.
Responsibilities :
  • Responsible for building and supporting modern software solutions leveraging Python, microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, and emerging AI technologies.
  • Contribute to the development of Agentic AI solutions, MCP integrations, and distributed application platforms.
  • Work closely with senior engineers, architects, and business partners to deliver scalable and secure applications while adhering to established engineering and governance standards.
  • Design, develop, test, and support Python-based applications and services.
  • Build and maintain REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven integrations.
  • Contribute to development of Agentic AI workflows and MCP-enabled application components.
  • Implement integrations between AI models, enterprise systems, and business applications.
  • Develop reusable services and components following enterprise engineering standards.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and operational controls to ensure service reliability.
  • Contribute to automation, CI/CD pipelines, and testing frameworks.
  • Work with messaging and event-streaming technologies to support asynchronous processing.
  • Collaborate with business and technology teams to analyze requirements and develop technical solutions.
  • Support issue resolution, performance tuning, and application enhancements.
  • Document technical designs, implementation details, and operational procedures.
  • Follow established security, governance, and risk management standards.
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience in a STEM-related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related STEM field.
  • 2-5 years of experience developing applications using Python.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices development.
  • Familiarity with event-driven architecture and messaging platforms.
  • Experience with FastAPI, Flask, or similar Python frameworks.
  • Knowledge of SQL and database technologies.
  • Familiarity with source control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
  • Experience working in Linux environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
  • Exposure to Agentic AI frameworks, MCP, LLMs, and GenAI solutions.
  • Familiarity with Kafka, MQ, or event-streaming platforms.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and container technologies.
