Network Engineer

Job Title: Network Engineer
Job Location: Quincy, FL
Job Salary: 90k - 100k + Benefits
Requirements: Network Administration, Critical Infrastructure, Design, Testing

Based in Quincy, FL, we are a power distribution cooperative that provides electric and water services throughout multiple regions.  
Due to growth, we are looking for a Network Engineer who has 5+ years of experience in network administration. The ideal candidate will have experience working in mission critical environments and an in-depth understanding of both network engineering and security operations.
Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable network infrastructure for critical utility systems.
  • Lead the implementation and management of network security policies and controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPNs.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues, including connectivity, routing, switching, and security incidents, ensuring rapid restoration of service.
  • Document network configurations, changes, and security policies to ensure operational consistency and adherence to compliance standards.
  • Play a key role in testing disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity planning (BCP) to ensure critical systems remain available during emergencies.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Network Engineering and operations ideally within the utilities or critical infrastructure sector
  • Automation & Scripting using Python, Bash, Ansible
  • Security Tools & Technologies: Firewalls (Palo Alto, Aruba, Cisco, Linux)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Certifications preferred (CCNP, PCNSE, JNCIP, CWNP)
