FedPoint is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of our cloud infrastructure. This role plays a critical part in shaping cloud strategy, establishing architecture standards, and ensuring secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions that align with organizational goals. You will serve as both a technical leader and mentor, guiding a team of engineers while driving innovation across our cloud environment.


Platform Operations delivers strategic systems planning, cloud platform development, and end user support. The team is focused on providing reliable, secure, and forward-thinking solutions that support the organizations long-term success.

What You Will Do

Cloud Platform Management
Lead migration of on premises infrastructure to AWS with minimal disruption
Design and implement scalable and resilient cloud architecture
Manage AWS services including compute, storage, networking, databases, and security
Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability
Drive cost optimization and operational efficiency across cloud resources
Implement automation for infrastructure provisioning and deployments using tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation
Establish and maintain change management practices

Leadership and Mentorship
Provide technical leadership and guidance to cloud engineering team members
Mentor engineers in cloud and DevOps best practices
Partner with development teams on deployment strategies and workflows
Present cloud strategy and business value to leadership

Cloud Security
Define and enforce cloud security standards aligned with NIST controls
Design secure cloud architecture and implement infrastructure hardening practices
Lead security monitoring, threat detection, and incident response efforts
Oversee risk analysis, vulnerability management, and remediation
Support audit readiness and compliance reporting
Integrate security into DevOps and CI CD pipelines

DevOps and Automation
Design and manage CI CD pipelines and deployment processes
Develop and maintain infrastructure as code solutions
Automate cloud operations and system management
Collaborate with development teams on release and configuration management
Promote adoption of DevOps principles across teams

What You Bring
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
8 years of experience in cloud engineering or DevOps with strong focus on AWS
Deep knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail
Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
Strong understanding of DevSecOps practices and automated security tools
Hands on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
Experience building and managing CI CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitHub
Strong knowledge of networking, cloud security, and system administration
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, ELK, or Splunk
Strong problem solving, communication, and collaboration skills
