JOB DESCRIPTION

TheData Scientistwill support theUSSOCOM Intelligence Data Science Team (IDST)Program and will directly support the MARSOC G2 IDST team located atStone Bay Marine Base, Camp Lejeune, NC.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As aData Scientiston the MARSOC IDST Team, you will be responsible for interpreting complex data to identify patterns, trends,and insights that inform decision-making and solve business challenges in direct support of the MARSOC Intelligence Directorate (G2). They leveragestatistical methods, machine learning, and data visualization techniques to transform rawdata into actionable strategies.

JOB DUTIES(INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):

  • Contribute to completion of routine technical tasks.
  • May develop data-driven solutions to business challenges of moderate
  • Utilize advanced tools and computational skills to interpret, connect, predict, and
    make discoveries in data.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and gathering
    techniques.
  • May use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences,
    efficiencies, process improvements, and other business outcomes.
  • May assist with identifying opportunities for leveraging company data to drive
    business solutions.
  • May develop processes and machine learning based tools to monitor and analyze
    model performance and data accuracy.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Basic familiarity with Windows or Linux commands
  • Basic familiarity with one or more programming languages (Java, C++,Python, R, REACT, etc.).
  • Basic familiarity with Machine Learning, RPA, and AI
  • Basic familiarity in Agile Development and Git Operations.

The likely salary range for this position is $68,581 - $92,785. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
