Required Skills & Experience

Some experience or academic background in data analysis, statistics, or a related field

Basic proficiency in SQL (a short SQL test may be part of the interview process)

Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking

Familiarity with Python for data analysis is a plus

Experience with or interest in data visualization tools such as Tableau

Exposure to Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms is beneficial

Interest in Generative AI or machine learning concepts

Experience or coursework related to the financial services industry is an asset

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to support our innovative Generative AI (GenAI) initiatives within a leading financial institution. This role is ideal for someone early in their data career who has a strong interest in data analysis, reporting, and data quality, and is eager to grow their skills in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

As a Data Analyst on the GenAI team, you will work closely with data engineers and AI researchers to assist in validating and interpreting data outputs, helping ensure the accuracy and usefulness of insights generated by advanced AI systems. Your responsibilities will include supporting the design and execution of data validation tasks, conducting exploratory data analysis to identify trends and anomalies, and creating dashboards and reports using Tableau to present findings to internal stakeholders.

You will also assist in writing and refining SQL queries for data extraction and validation, and use tools like Python and Snowflake under guidance to manipulate and analyze datasets. Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS is a plus, but not required.
