About this opportunity

The Mortgage Servicing Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing mortgage servicing data, identifying trends, supporting operational reporting, improving portfolio performance, and ensuring data accuracy across servicing systems. This role partners with servicing operations, compliance, finance, risk, and technology teams to deliver actionable insights that improve borrower experience, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Analyze mortgage servicing portfolio data including: Payment performance, Delinquencies, Escrow balances, Loss mitigation, Foreclosure timelines, Bankruptcy status, Investor reporting

• Develop recurring and ad hoc reports for servicing leadership.

• Monitor KPIs and servicing metrics to identify trends and operational risks.

• Build dashboards using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel. Data Management

• Validate data integrity across servicing platforms and databases.

• Perform data reconciliation between servicing systems, investor reports, and regulatory submissions. • Identify data anomalies and recommend corrective actions.

• Support data governance and documentation initiatives. Business Support

• Collaborate with servicing teams to improve workflows and reporting accuracy.

• Assist with audit requests, compliance reviews, and investor inquiries.

• Support regulatory reporting requirements including CFPB, FHA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Ginnie Mae standards. Process Improvement

• Automate manual reporting processes using SQL, Python, or Excel macros.

• Recommend operational improvements based on data findings.

• Participate in system migrations, testing, and servicing platform enhancements.

Location and Schedule
  • This is a full-time, office-based position in a modern, cozy environment in our Troy, MI office.

  • Our standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Skills & Qualifications

Experience with mortgage servicing systems such as: MSP, Black Knight, Sagent, Fiserv

• Knowledge of: Escrow analysis, Loss mitigation, Default servicing, Investor reporting

• Familiarity with Python, SAS, or R

• Understanding of mortgage regulatory requirements Technical Skills

• SQL • Excel (PivotTables, Power Query, VBA)

• Power BI or Tableau • Data visualization • ETL/data validation • Reporting automation
