AWS AI Engineer – Bedrock & Custom AI/ML
Location: San Antonio, TX _ Oniste 
Role Summary
We are looking for AWS AI Engineers with hands-on experience building AI/ML and GenAI solutions using Amazon Bedrock and Bedrock AgentCore.
This role will focus on implementation, and engineering of AI-powered applications.

Key Responsibilities
• Build and implement AI/GenAI applications using Amazon Bedrock and AgentCore
• Develop and integrate Bedrock agents, tools, and knowledge bases into applications
• Implement RAG pipelines using S3, OpenSearch, DynamoDB, and embeddings
• Develop backend services using Python and AWS Lambda
• Work with APIs and event-driven architectures using API Gateway, EventBridge, Step Functions
• Experiment with prompts, evaluate outputs, and optimize performance and cost
• Build and deploy AI/ML pipelines using AWS-native services
• Collaborate with the Solutions Architect on architecture and design implementation

Required Skills & Experience
• 3–6 years of experience in software engineering, AI, or ML
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Bedrock (agents, AgentCore, KBs, guardrails preferred)
• Strong Python development skills
• Experience with AWS services:
o Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, IAM
• Experience implementing:
o RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation)
o Embeddings and vector search
o Prompt engineering
• Familiarity with ML concepts (training, evaluation, fine-tuning is a plus)

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with OpenSearch, LangChain, or similar orchestration frameworks
• Exposure to SageMaker, MLOps, or model lifecycle management
• AWS certification (Associate level or above)
• Experience working on enterprise AI or chatbot/assistant solutions
