Job Role

Job Title: Java Engineer
Location: NYC, NY
Duration: Full-Time

Summary

  • 5-7 years of solid hands-on experience using Core Java, Spring Boot, Kafka/MQ, Microservices architecture.
  • Strong experience in SQL (DB2/Sybase), Shell/Unix, and Python/Perl, with good problem-solving and communication skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain applications using Core Java and Spring Boot.
  • Build and implement microservices architecture and integrate Kafka/MQ messaging systems.
  • Perform database development, data modeling, and performance tuning using SQL (DB2/Sybase).
  • Develop scripts using Shell/Unix, Python, or Perl, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across all levels.

Desired Skills

  • Experience in Banking or Financial Services domain/projects.
  • Exposure to GitHub Copilot and Spec-Driven Development practices is a plus.
  • Strong analytical mindset, self-driven attitude, and passion for innovation.

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $61087 -  $104364
