Job description

A Career with Point72's Operations Team

Point72's Operations team supports all operational aspects of trade processing, reconciliation, financing, and reporting firmwide for all products, including equities, derivatives, bonds, foreign exchange and futures, and digital assets across global markets.

What you'll do
  • Lead strategic and tactical back-office projects from inception through delivery, shaping post-trade operations and controls for the firm
  • Build scalable automation and straight-through processing workflows in partnership with Technology to reduce manual touch, shorten settlement cycles, and increase operational capacity
  • Design and optimize end-to-end trade flow, settlement, and reconciliation processes across equities, fixed income, derivatives, and cash products
  • Partner with technology, trade support, risk, compliance, and valuation teams, as well as with external vendors, to define requirements, prioritize scope, and deliver solutions on aggressive timelines
  • Manage implementations, upgrades, and configuration of portfolio accounting and reconciliation platforms, driving data mapping, validation, and reconciliation rule design
  • Implement vendor integrations and data feed enhancements with custodians, prime brokers, and clearing utilities to improve data quality and resiliency
  • Deliver measurable efficiency gains by leading initiatives that apply workflow automation, scripting, or low-code solutions and by overseeing user acceptance testing and rollout
  • Track project metrics, prepare clear status reporting, escalate risks, and drive remediation to ensure milestones and post-implementation stability
  • Coach and influence operations teams on redesigned processes, controls, and best practices to embed sustainable change and scale operational improvements
What's required
  • 5+ years of experience in back-office operations within a hedge fund, asset manager, or investment bank
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, computer science, or a related field
  • Proven project management experience leading complex initiatives from inception through delivery
  • Strong working knowledge of trade flow, settlement, and reconciliation processes across equities, fixed income, derivatives, and cash
  • Hands-on experience with Geneva (Advent) or a similar portfolio accounting and reconciliation platform
  • Demonstrated success delivering automation and straight-through processing solutions that reduced manual processing and improved settlement outcomes
  • Hands-on experience with workflow automation tools, robotic process automation, low-code platforms, or scripting languages such as SQL or Python
  • Familiarity with clearing and settlement utilities, broker and custodian platforms, and prime broker data feeds and integrations
  • Excellent analytical skills and experience in process re-engineering, including data mapping, validation, and reconciliation rule design
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders while working both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
