Position Overview:

Red Arch Solutions is hiring a Principal Backend Software Engineer to join a priority program in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. We are seeking a Backend Software Engineer with experience building and testing software components in an Agile environment, producing clear technical documentation, and ensuring high-quality code. The ideal candidate is proficient in Java, C++, or Python, works comfortably with Git, SQL, Postgres, AWS, and collaborates effectively using Jira and Confluence.
Hybrid TELEWORK position, up to 16 hours per week dependent on tasking.
Requirements:
    • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university plus Twenty (20) years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes.
      Note: Twenty four (24) years total of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for candidates without a qualifying bachelor's degree.
    • An active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
    • Experience assisting with development & execution of test procedures for software components
    • Experience with generating & reviewing software/technical documentation
    • Experience working in an Agile software development environment
    • Experience using Jira and Confluence
    • Ensuring quality control of all developed and modified software
    • Experience with the following software development skills:
    • Git
    • Java, C++, Python
    • Relational database, such as Postgres
    • SQL
    • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
    • Salary range for this position: $220,000-224,000 #CJ
