Job description

QA Automation Engineer
Responsibilities:
  • Design, maintain, and execute automated tests for use in both API and UI test cases by creating reusable code libraries to help build streamlined and efficient automated test processes.
  • Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
  • Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommend corrective action.
  • Submit and track any product issues found during testing to ensure that they are resolved.
  • Facilitate and/or participate in test plan and test case reviews and execution.
  • Work closely with the Development, Business Analysts, and Support Teams to understand the application's features and architecture to develop test cases to ensure that the application's UI / API / Data layers are thoroughly tested before releasing into production.
  • Integrate automated tests into continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure timely feedback.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in software Quality Assurance and Automation.
  • Automation Certification preferred such as Certified Tester Test Automation Engineer (CT-TAE)
  • SmartBear TestComplete, ReadyAPI, and MABL experience preferred.
  • Test automation background in UI driven frameworks via SmartBear TestComplete.
  • Test automation background in APIs via SmartBear ReadyAPI.
  • Proficiency in a mainstream programming language: Must have applicable skills in Java, Python, C++, C#, or other language.
  • Must have technical experience screening, triaging, and categorizing defects.
  • Knowledge of web accessibility best practices and optimization.
  • Strong understanding of QA principles, inspection techniques, and testing procedures.
