Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking a strong Automation Platform Developer with extensive Python development and automation experience to join our Business Support team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building, enhancing, debugging, and maintaining automation platforms and tools.

This role requires a developer who is highly proficient in Python scripting and automation, with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. The developer will work closely with the Lead Developer and cross-functional teams to implement enhancements, resolve technical issues, support internal users, and continuously improve automation solutions used for automotive multimedia systems.

Candidates with experience in automotive automation, multimedia/head-unit systems, hardware control, in-vehicle communication protocols, Linux, FastAPI, or cloud environments will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain automation platforms and tools using Python.
  • Write clean, scalable, maintainable, and reusable Python code.
  • Support the Lead Developer with code changes, feature enhancements, debugging, and technical implementation.
  • Troubleshoot automation platform issues and perform detailed root-cause analysis.
  • Provide technical support to internal users of automation tools and platforms.
  • Develop and maintain automation solutions supporting automotive multimedia/head-unit systems.
  • Perform software testing, quality assurance, debugging, and validation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve automation tools, workflows, reliability, and productivity.
  • Collaborate with developers, engineers, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Participate in Agile development processes, including planning, development, testing, and continuous improvement.
  • Support production tools and internal automation platforms.
  • Contribute to documentation, troubleshooting procedures, and technical improvements.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of hands-on Python scripting/development experience.
  • Strong experience developing automation tools, frameworks, scripts, or platforms using Python.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify root causes and implement effective technical solutions.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Strong software development and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with developers, engineers, technical leads, and business stakeholders.
  • Proactive approach toward improving automation processes, tools, and development workflows.
  • Total professional experience should not exceed 10 years.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with FastAPI.
  • Strong experience working in Linux/Unix environments.
  • Experience with React and TypeScript.
  • Experience with hardware control scripting, including:
    • I2C
    • GVIF
    • Serial communication
  • Experience with automotive communication protocols:
    • CAN
    • CAN FD
    • Automotive Ethernet
  • Experience with GCP or AWS.
  • Experience developing or maintaining automated testing solutions for automotive multimedia systems.
  • Knowledge of automotive software development environments.
  • Experience supporting production automation tools or internal engineering platforms.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD, debugging tools, and version control.
  • Experience building, training, or integrating AI agents and machine learning models.
